So, it’s almost Wetness Day. Tomorrow, in fact, at current time of writing. The season finale of the Space Quest Historian Podcast is upon us.
Well, almost. See, we’ve run into a little unexpected snafu of scheduling. Don’t worry, the show is coming out as planned. Sort of.
See, whenever I do a show, I send it off to Chris Pope who then publishes it on his TechJives network, and from there it propagates to your listening devices — be it RSS feeds, via iTunes, or whatever.
I had finished mixing the season finale early because I am leaving for Australia tomorrow. I sent it off to the Space Pope himself and figured everything would be set: the show would come out as I was leaving on a jet plane, so to speak.
As it turns out, Pope is also on holiday at the moment. So, if you’re a subscriber to the show, your podcast feed in whatever podcast app you’re using won’t see the episode tomorrow. It will come out, not to worry; just not right bang on schedule.
I’m not going to leave you high and dry, though. I’ve also had the foresight to prepare the YouTube video version of the season finale in advance, so that’s queued up and ready to release automatically on YouTube tomorrow at 12pm (Danish time).
Apologies to those of you who are subscribing to the show and waiting for it to drop in automatically in their podcast feed tomorrow. That’ll happen when Pope gets back from his holiday. In the meantime, you’ll be able to listen to the season finale on YouTube tomorrow.
(Oh, and if you’re a Patreon backer, there’s an mp3 version in our Slack backer chat. Yeah, it pays off to be a backer! Just sayin’.)
